    What Were Aldi Thinking!

It is annoying for sure but they are all clearly marked if they are Active Energy compatible. If it is bare tool only, what they call a "Skin," it is Active Energy; if it comes with a battery probably not (they do bundle Active Energy tool/bat/charger sometimes just to confuse the issue). The...

Are pipe clamps a thing in the UK?

I find them much sturdier they don't bend like the old timber rails did. Have a look on ebay the box sectioned can be had for £12ish per metre delivered; I'd recommend getting a metre or two and experimenting.

Makita track saw. Cordless of corded?

I've had a Festool cordless since they first came out 3 or 4 years ago. I find it excellent, a bit of a handful but so nice not having a trailing lead. I actually find the dust suppression very good, not as good as a vac attachment no doubt but of all the pretty hopeless "catch the sawdust in a...

    ALUMINIUM T-TRACK

It was a 12hr flash sale and went back up at midnight. I'm on their mailing list which borders on spam but they do occasionally have a good deal. I bought the 6nr 5' sash cramps for £60 week before last and my T-track arrived this morning :D
