Could be a multitude of reasons....age, health, hygiene habits, amount of social contact but getting the flu jab does not give you flu, it's engineered not to.

That should certainly be the case yes but the reason for the mass flu inoculation is the same in that they are trying to protect NHS ICU bed capacity which would be stressed at this time of year anyway under normal circumstances. That is the datum by which eventually all the Covid precautions...
