Roof tiles on a glorified shed - need foundations?

This is one of my outbuildings with red clay tiles. It’s been up 6+ years and there’s be no issues at all, it’s still solid - which surprises me considering the huge sycamore tree a metre away from the foundations. https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/threads/shed-build-wip.83913/

    Buying a Tracksaw

A great outcome Phil! I’m pleased that you’ve got the best saw for the track because it’s great to use.

    Buying a Tracksaw

Did you get a response from Powertool World Phil? I found my box that was delivered which shows the compatible models if that helps you.

    Buying a Tracksaw

It's OK that you were aware of the limitations by not using the circular saw that's designed to be used with the track, and for your specific purpose then that's fine, but I don't think it's best to give advice to confuse others that might not be aware of those limitations. Even the...

    Buying a Tracksaw

Have you used it yet? Like most saws, you'll be able to use the track as a guide, like you'd use any straight edge, but it won't be used as a track saw where you use the nylon strip as the blade guide. There'll be a difference between where the blade sits and the nylon guide. The 'X' version...

    Buying a Tracksaw

That saw doesn't fit the track. The one that's for the track is this one - https://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/evolution-r185ccsx-185mm-multi-material-circular-saw-in-carry-bag

I did something similar to this on my workshop with a decent padlock.

Time for a new Drill & Impact driver....what's your thoughts?

I don't want to be a powertool snob, but I do subscribe to the believe that if you buy cheap you buy twice - hence why my Dewalt has lasted 15 years (and it's still going, I just think I'd rather make the update now before it fails completely).

Time for a new Drill & Impact driver....what's your thoughts?

I can get a Dewalt DCF887 with two 5Ah batteries, charger and case & a Dewalt DCD996 also with two 5Ah batteries, charger and case for £10 more than I was getting the Makita 481 & 154 with two 5Ah batteries, charger and case. Does this sound like the way to go?

Time for a new Drill & Impact driver....what's your thoughts?

Would be nice, but that's about my budget for both the drill and driver.

Time for a new Drill & Impact driver....what's your thoughts?

I was just about to place an order for a Makita twin pack (Makita DLX2176TJ 18v 2x5.0Ah Brushless Li-ion LXT Twin Kit) and then I watched these videos and now I think I'm back to Dewalt! I can get the Dewalt DCF887 impact driver and the Dewalt-DCD996 combi drill with four 5Ah batteries and...

Festool is just crazy money. I do have other Makita tools and I'm happy with them.

Time for a new Drill & Impact driver....what's your thoughts?

I've been using a Dewalt DC988 for 15 years for DIY work and it's been a great bit of kit. The gears are getting hard to engage now but the big problem really is the batteries don't hold a charge for long. I've got a range of dewalt battery powered tools, impact driver, circular saw, SDS drill...
