The motor is definately burnt out but I am having difficulty finding a motor which will fit the mountings . This is a photo of the motor mounting flange.

Just checked the power switch and the capacitor.

I used the inside of an old dremel which no longer worked. I made a wooden handle which takes the dremel internal shaft with a bearing at each end.

I had the same problem so I got new pulleys and broke the old ones off. I now take them off during my annual maintenance, clean the shafts and put them back on. I found that the Aminster belts wore quickly even with the new pulleys. I found a lawnmower belt the correct size and have used that...
