I have been making some golf ball in a cage (Youtube ) for presents out of softwood and they work out quite nicely. I want to make them out of hardwork and have tried Oak and Ash but they just break. Which is the most grain flexible hardwood that i can buy in the UK Many thanks

At present we are making wonky three legged stools, drilling a 22mm hole and then shaping by hand the legs and gluing and driving them in. Hope to move on to furniture alan

Has anybody any experience with circular tenon cutters. The only ones i can find are the Timber tuff range and the veritas cutter which seam to be able to cut longer tenons. We are starting to make woodland products. Any advice would be appreciated Alan

Suberb replies, made me smile. I tried the Pental and they were great but ran out of ink very quickly and you couldnt refill them easilly. Forgot about the ROTRING. I have used them many years ago and they are great (But extremmly expenisve but i love buying stuff. If i doint get an Amazon...

There must be a better way. I'm tried every type of pencil going plus biros plus thin markers plus drawing pens (which are excellent but run out in two seconds) knife markers are excellent but I sometimes don't want to mark the wood. Help. What do the professional use
