Yale type lock for garden door?

I have a large wooden side gate/door that I would like to fit with a Yale style lock or something similar. I don't want to use a padlock, I'm after something that closes when shut and can be locked, exactly like the action of a Yale, can these be used outdoors in all weathers, or is there something more suitable?

Don't think Yale locks are really made for external use.

I have used these on gates, very solid as a lock but don't have the latch action.

They will have what you want here: https://www.locksonline.co.uk/Lockshtml if its surface mounted then its a rim lock you want, but a normal inset lock is as near as damm it protected once installed, if very exposed then good quality is needed IMO.
