I've just acquired my first lathe which is a Draper 37 inch and would like to only use 1 of the bed bars.
Does anyone know were I can get the Bed bar converter that fits on the end of the front bed bar to replace the end bed bar.

Please allow for any wrong terminology this is my first posting

regards Billy

Hi Billy
Can you remove the end fitting from the end of the second bar and fit it to the end of the first bar when you separate them?

only if it's ok to do so, I didn't want to screw-up both bars?
would you know if it's a screw or push fit ?

tried it, doesn't budge either way.

it have seen a picture on ebay showing a sleeve with a short securing bolt but can't track one down?

Not sure where you'd get that. I have the lathe parts list if that's any good?
Attached below.

From the instructions supplied by mayo.mick it looks like you could leave out the first bed bar and use only the second one. Fasten it to the headstock just as you would fasten the first bar. If you do, don't forget to put the tool post and tailstock onto the bar before you fasten it all together.
