Workshop Extraction

I'm planning on getting both a chip extractor and shop vac with filters down to the 1 micron level. I was just wondering whether there were any workshop air filters that when below this level, but it sounds like that's not possible without going to industrial level equipment.

I'll just run a normal Record AC400 in conjunction with the 'at source' extraction equipment. I guess a well placed simple fan would help ensure the air moves around more, and thus increases the amount pulled through the air filter?

The AC400 sucks in one side and out the other so having another fan could well have an adverse effect on the workshop airflow. Strikes me you're worrying too much.
