wood turning lathe spindle extension

Where can I obtain a spindle extension for my 1" x 8 tpi lathe spindle. I'm trying to fit a home made 'Longworth chuck' but it collides with the spindle motor, hence the need for a spindle extension. Unless someone has a better idea.
My lathe is an Axminster AVSL 900

Mount your Longworth jaws on the front of the chuck using the dovetail jaws.
