wood colouring

Hi my wife was watch something on the telly ,something with Kirsty Alsop in, and a man coloured some wood using wax sticks, it was bare white wood and it coloured and waxed it at the same time,anyone know anything about this and where to get these things please.

I didn’t see that thing on the tv but I know some suppliers do coloured waxes especially like the antique restoration companies the ones I use are in London called John Penny ltd the have a web site lots of good different products and polished there
