What shall I do about this door frame?

As you can see the paint is pretty thick, so it’ll be difficult to sand down to make the chipped bits unnoticable.
Was thinking stripper? Or maybe heat gun?

strip the paint using a heat gun or blow torch? Might take a couple of hours, but you can get a good finish. Otherwise fine surface filler (the screwfix tub version is very good) can be used on the chips.
