Moderators have no access to software changes, but yes, Charley has been informed and is on the case.

Withrawn by OP due to defects found during inspection, explanation was posted prior to thread removal

By the way it's not prudent to put your contact telephone numbers on open public forum.

2 weeks on and there seems to be no apparent improvement. This fault is making UKW unusable on my phone by locking it up.

Android, Win or iOS?

I'll see if I can replicate the issue.

Noel,
The thread BBC Rant Alert has progressed into political territory and a discussion of the views/issues of individuals in HMG. I thought the policy of this board was to not allow such political discussion. Should this thread not now be sealed off.

I think it's a good idea, keeps all the politics and ranting in one place so it doesn't creep into the other parts of the forum.

It's an easy enough thread to ignore.

Hi Beech, all threads are at the discretion of the moderators. If you read the guidelines you'll see a similar guideline referring to moderator discretion concerning political threads which was included in an update some years ago.
The main topic being discussed is perhaps the most important event in the lifetime of many of the contributors and the outcome may be felt for generations. I fully understand that it is less important to others and that's fine.
Trevanion makes a good point- it's easy to ignore the thread.
You are of course quite welcome to contribute to the thread.

Is Shanter (member for 6 days, based in New York) genuine? There are a couple of very odd comments under that name.
Thanks for all your hard work on UKW.

What happened to yesterday's (3rd March) posts about a member having trouble resawing and setting up a Record Power bandsaw with a 3/4 blade?
I sent a reply, two other members replied, but now the whole post is missing.
