Recommendations for oil for Viceroy Sharpedge.

Can anyone recommend a lubricating oil suitable for a Viceroy Sharpedge tool grinder. The recommended oil is no longer available.

I know the college I went to was using Tellus 46 thinned down a bit with white spirit in the Sharpedge machines which seemed to work. I would think you would struggle to find anything like the original honing oil.

Perhaps cutting oil that's thinned down would work well?
