Just watched George Clark turn an ugly house into something even more ugly!Chanell 4 at around 8 o'clock some people really do have more money than sense

I've watched a few of these, and they all seem to follow the same formula.

The owners decide to spend money on their ugly houses instead of moving, they state a budget of x, the architect comes up with grand plans that will never cost x in a million years. They start work, the owners realise they can't afford it and start making compromises and the architect gets annoyed that they're compromising the grand dream.

At the end of it all, they end up with a slightly less ugly house and have spent x plus £15k.

Brilliant.
