Saw bed insert not level.

Couldn't work out why small pieces were getting stuck then noticed plate insert was not flush with plate. Easy to fix....stick flat maxam over plate. However is that the best surface to use?

Thoughts on best topping to sort this please.

masking tape underneath.

make your own inserts. lets you make a zero clearance for when your doing really tricky stuff.

or sell the saw, move to the woods and take up spoon carving.

Masking tape it is.......tried spoon thing.....oddly enough that's why I bought the scroll saw. I wanted to clear off the non-spoon bits and carve the rest!
