Hi
I have an old CamVac dust extractor with a 100 mm hose. I am looking for a way to support the hose and a plastic hood so that I can move the hood around the lathe as necessary. I bought a stand from Axminster but it only extends to a height of 1.2 metres so cannot be positioned to have the hood above and pointing downwards over the work. I thought that I had overcome that by ordering a "Stayput" 100 mm hose to fit between the tube on the stand and the hood. Unfortunately when it arrived I found that it did not "stayput" when fitted to the stand but flopped down under its own weight so fitting the hood was a non starter.
I think that there must be a relatively simple and economical way to do this but it is defeating me at the moment. Any suggestions please?

A bit of lateral thinking - could you flip that stand upside down and attach it to the ceiling? Would that give better range?
