Got an elderly Evenwood bandsaw where the top pulley shaft is worn. Apart from getting the shaft milled before fitting new bearings will a Locktite product do. The machine is old only rarely used and doesn`t really justify spending a fortune on. Any advice please.

I'v used Loctite 620 in the past and a very good job it does in the right application, it is not designed to take out wear in a shaft, also if you ever want to get that pulley off in the future you will need a hydraulic press.

When you say top pulley do you mean the top wheel shaft? If so can you measure the dia of the shaft? once you have that I am sure lots of us can measure our different bandsaw shafts to see if we have an similar size that may still be available.
