Hi All, I'm not new to woodworking or collecting old tools. I guess my wife would explain me as a hoarder! my explanation is, "you never know, we may loose all power and then what would we do" haha. Generally when ever I come across new pieces it can be simple to identify them, with a lot of help from the internet & sites like this. I was given a hand tool several years ago, by a dear old friend who explained how it was his fathers tool & he can remember it as a boy, my friend was 85yrs at that point. sadly he as now passed away & I cannot ask him for any more info. The tool in question is a "Rapper" it looks like a very old hand hammer drill, It does have a patent number, that is dated 1927, there is a amendment to the patent in the USA in 1929. I will post a picture once I am able.
