This is my first post so here's hoping someone can help.

I've been creating simple candle holders to go on our dinning table out of standard small bowl blanks by using my
Pillar drill and a large Forstner bit.

I'd like to make these holders more accurately and to a better finish.

I've been looking at beginner's lathes and second hand bowl lathes.
I think I could use either as long as the distance between the spindle/chuck
And bed will accommodate the rough blanks?

Can anyone recommend a sub £200 machine please?

Thanks for looking,
Bernard

Don't forget to factor in the little extras like turning tools and a sharpening system - could cost as much as the lathe. A chuck is a nice addition - my chuck and a few sets of jaws cost me not far off twice what I paid for my lathe.

Shameless plug, but I have my myford ml8 for sale on here, I'll take offers on it. It's an ideal starter machine, but my ambitions (not my talent) have outgrown it now!
