Bandsaw Guide Broken

Just wondered if anyone else has had the top guide on the Record BS400 break. THis morning I was changing a blade and on tightening the guide, the flange parted.

Not a problem to get it replaced with the 5 year guarantee, but it made me wonder if anyone else had had that problem with the cast flanges?

Hi Malcolm.
I had the same thing happen on my BS350. It was replaced no problem but the "suggestion " was that I might have over- tightened it!

Thanks. That's an obvious suggestion, although I dont think I put any more pressure on it than usual. Being a cast item it could go at any time.
Hope you are fit and well. Not seen you around but dont forget the coffee/tea is always on!
