Hi Guys looking to upgrade my dedicated mortiser . Any advise please either the Powermatic 719-T or the Sedgewick
571 MK2. Thanks for looking

And an auger hammer and chisel is better than either. (hammer)

There is so little to go wrong with a 2nd hand morticer, I would go for a sedgewick, multico or wadkin.

Ive used both multico and wadkin 2nd hand machines in a busy joinery workshop where theyve been used for quite a few hours at a time.

Sedgwick, Wadkin, Dominion, Multico in that order of preference for a Morticer to take up to a 1" mortise chisel (softwood / 3/4" hardwood) For a larger chisel size it would be different!

Of course the Wadkin DM is the go to machine for a joinery shop.

Around £800 private sale, upto £2,500 from a dealer.
