Advice needed for finishing a small fence and gate.

Hi.

I'm wanting to paint and water proof a small picket fence with gate.

I'd like to paint it a certain colour that goes with the rest of the area - Ronseal not seeming to have anything that would go.

I was wondering whether there is a good quality, water proof sealant that I could use so I could paint the wood and then apply it over the top, rather than have an all in one product?

Coild you get your colour mixed in a johnstones or trade dulux base -a local decorators shop like brewers for eg.

Take a look at sadolin superdec. Self priming opaque coating, and available in loads of colours including RAL and BS. If you've got a crown decorating centre near you, call in and pick up a colour card. 250ml tester pots are also available to check the colour.
