Hello all, I am a wood worker from Canada looking for more information about campaign
furniture. Writing desks images or drawings, I would be grateful for any help with this.:)

Hello Twobit
Welcome to the forum
I'm not sure if this is what your after ...if it is, you've probably seen it all before ...
Look up Colonial Williamsburg‎ woodworking ...
George Wilson has a video in there with some interesting stuff .
What about Steve Latta too
Or maybe Peter Follansbee is what your after ? ...

I'm not too read up on what campaign furniture is though
There is some videos about Thomas Chippendale the extraordinary..
Hands Cavan cabinetmakers ,
The Edward Barnsley Workshop,
The Roentgens seceret compartment furniture,

These are some videos that springs to my mind ...
I'm looking forward to what else is mentioned, that's not so mainstreamed
Watching this thread with much interest :D

Google is helpful; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campaign_furniture
In Tasmania we saw an exhibition of new art/craft furniture based on Campaign designs- very Georgian in style but light and portable (if you have a few porters!).
Linda Fredheim https://www.carbatec.com.au/article/137 ... -Furniture . Very nice stuff beautifully made.

My old dad brought some back with him from India after the war but it was WW2 style - camp bed, canvas seats with folding timber/steel frames, canvas wash-hand basin etc. not quite the same thing but influential on modern designers according to Wikipedia. Makes sense you can see the connection.
