I don't post here much but I read most days. I thought it was time I posted something.

This came from a stack of wood I bought whilst clearing out a shed. I don't know what it is. Anyone got any ideas? Some more details that might help with the species - the original log still had bark but even though the ends weren't sealed in any way there were practically no end splits. It had been drying for at least 5 years.

It's 20cm tall and was my first attempt at hollowing after turning for about 6 months. I used the Monro Hollowing tool. Finish is cellulose sanding sealer and wax.
