I was asked a silly question for a turner. A lady came up to me and asked if I would like some walnut. being a turner the answer took all of 1 second to answer this question. A little recycling picked this little lot up today now totally knackered. It is walnut, has been laying there for about three years. Slabs are 18" to give an idea of sizes

Nice! Any specific projects in mind?

Not yet just some more wood to clutter up the wood store. But may cut one or two pieces quite thick for a largish deep bowl will have to see tomorrow as I will be cutting into blanks and spindles tomorrow as well as sealing it for it's long hibernation
