I finally had the opportunity to turn Bambu. I am always trying new things, and this one was special.
Ydo not have a lot to hollow as mother nature did it for you. You have to be quite gentle with the gouge as it it rather thin from the true start, then you can only use your creativity where there are the knots of the plant.

I have the same complaint I made with POWER TOOL's posting. The aerial view does't really show what the piece really looks like and therefor makes it nearly impossible to really judge it . It takes a siedeview to get a proper impression of a workpiece.
 
The oly purpose of the picture was to try to show you the design of the fiber at the joint of the bamboo.
The overall shape of the bowl is so simple that I couldn't beleive it was of any interest. Sorry :oops:
