This one's for Andy. A few years ago he gave me a small woodie block plane I had been admiring. I put a hefty camber on the iron to make it a small scrub. Used in ernest yesterday to put a big chamfer on the underside of a coffee table. Smaller plane in foreground, set with a healthy appetite, the larger one behind it (gift from Jim H) is my other small scrub, set 'greedy'.
Just posting this so Andy knows the plane is in use, works brilliantly... and I'm still making stuff

Excellent news!

Is that a chunk of one of the beech trees you had to have cut down?

Hi Andys - trust all is well.
No AndyT, it's just a quartered board from my local (Morgans in Strood). Legs (3) are steamed beech so a fraction darker to add some visual mass down below. Basically it's a mid 60s plectrum on legs, and intentionally very Ercol.
