Anyone have any experience with one? They are exceedingly rare in the US so finding anyone who had something to say (good, bad or indifferent) is difficult.

It seems similarly built to a scmi t130?

I've used a couple of Casolin machines, namely a four-sided planer and a regular P/T. The build quality is excellent and I would say it's pretty much on par with the SCM gear if not a little better in some respects. I can't comment on how good the spindle moulder is though, although I've seen shafts for sale for a Casolin and they look identical to an SCM shaft so perhaps some parts are interchangeable?

Seems well built
