Rivets and rivet guns

Will they rust quickly if they are used to connect the same material that they are made from?

misunderstanding of galvanic corrosion Matty. Stainless doesn't interact with stainless steel. no increased corrosion risk.

Yep, they'll be fine. Aluminium ones would rot out - we come across it all the time in food factories. People use ally rivets in the insulation cladding because they're cheap and easy to pull, then 2 years later everything starts falling apart.
