I want to seal the walnut blank shown. I have rough turned and want to put it to bed season. I am going to use wax to seal. Do I just seal the 2 flat faces :?:
I am still on a learning curve.

No you do not seal the front and back faces.

You need to seal the whole of the periphery to ensure you get all of any exposed end grain covered.

You need to do this urgently if there is any significant moisture still in the wood.

It's likely to start opening up in minutes let alone hours if the wood is green.
