I recently purchased a few metal box hinges, and have made a couple of small boxes.

I am wondering what would be the best adhesive to use for fixing the metal hinges to the wood.
The Prokraft site suggests ca glue, but I am wondering if epoxy might be better.
There is not much force needed to open the hinge, but I do want it to be long lasting.

Does anybody have experience of using this type of hinge, and could perhaps offer some advice.

Thanks!

A medium CA should be fine, probably a bit better mechanical interlocking (gap filling) than a thin version and increased application time.

I have done a few of these and prefer to use epoxy. Would suggest if you are using medium CA glue not to glue the hinges to the box shut as the CA can run and glue it all together. How do I know, will let you guess
