Would anyone know the name of a portable saw I saw in a video. It is for outdoors in woods camping etc.

Large rip teeth.

Folds in 3.

Then stow away...

Hi

For camping I like to use silky saws

Some of them fold away but as they are Japanese so they cut on the pull stroke so no need for a frame such as a bow saw.

If you want something that Folds away there are a number of folding bow saws and a very expensive one with Ray Mears name on it.

Look at

I also find their ono hatchet particularly versatile for bushcraft duties.

Just an observation - I don't care for bow saws much. A large "silky sugowaza" type pruning saw would be my choice if I wanted something portable to cut bigger pieces of green wood.

The standard buschcrafters choices for cutting smaller trees and branches are an axe or hatchet and / or a Bahco laplander folding saw / the orange handled Bahco 396 JT which has japanese inspired teeth and cuts faster through green wood. These folding saws will cut a ten inch branch but are too small to do that all day long.
