Exposed OSB cabinets - like or not?

I had a potential Client come into my Showroom 18 months ago asking if she could have a German kitchen with OSB doors similar to the OP's 2nd picture......I tried to talk her out of it but she was adamant. She had been recommended to me by a Builder that I do occasional work for.

I explained that it would not be a project that I would be interested in doing and I believe she ended up buying Ikea cabinets and getting the site chippy to make and fit the doors........I have never lost any sleep over not doing the job!!
 
It's like something they might sell in an I Saw you Coming sketch.
 
I've been seeing it a lot with epoxy poured over the surface and skimmed across the edges to seal the OSB. As seen on modern drawer fronts; it's just the next step from exposed plywood edges. Went to a scout center entirely clad in birch ply. OSB could be the devolution of this.
 
I'd probably make a lip around the edges of some kind can't say I'm a fan of raw OSB
