Almost completed a whirligig for a friend. I’m building two so I can have the second one. Things learnt from building the first one was improved upon in the second build. Keeping the best one for myself lol. Well I hope the second one will be better. Made it a bit thinner and lighter and the rear tail is positioned better on the second one. Will post picture when that one is finished.
Had a few awkward things to sort out on the build. One I haven’t solved yet is to make the whirligig fixed to the post but still be able to rotate in the wind. Don’t want someone pinching it.
Here’s the photo but it’s not varnished yet.
