For really small offcuts I can see how that works, just for bigger bits...

For a bigger cut, say trimming 2ft off a 8ft board I want to have the saw body resting on the main 6ft section as it cuts, pushing with my right hand along and into the fence on the main bit. With the saw blade on the left, there's not enough of the machine to ride the sheet and it's going to wobble. Ha i'm probably doing a bad job of explaining it, it just seems wrong to me!

Only way it works in my head is if I go lefty on it!
