Hi new here and newish to woodworking a welder by trade....
I have gotten myself a sip 01454 planer thicknesses for free
The problem with it is one of the chain sprockets that raises and lowers the thicknesses bed is broken and the others are pretty worn and missing teeth even the tensioner sprocket
I went to the sip site but all these parts are discontinued
But looking around several other machines look very similar does anyone know what models are interchangeable with the sip
Many thanks
Paul

ordered 4 sprockets today and a tensioner sprocket , the old ones were a diecast material does anyone know if steel sprockets are available
and where can i get a jig for setting the blades
many thanks for all the help

Don't be fooled into thinking you need a jig to set up the blades, a bit of plate glass on top of the blades and tighten up progressively, bonus I have used this method for a few years and any timber I surface does not suffer from snipe.
