Veritas MkII Honing Guide.

I may be wrong but I am certain I honed my Veritas spokeshave blades in the MK2. If memory serves correct the little instruction book that comes with the Veritas Spokeshaves says they require honing at 35 degrees and at that angle they just about fit, I think.

A word to the wise about the Veritas mortise chisel adaptor for the Mark 11 honing guide which I own and like very much. The advertising states that the adaptor is compatible with both Veritas standard and narrow blade clamping heads. The issue is the definition of mortise chisel. I bought the adaptor (I have the standard clamping head) for the sharpening of my newly acquired ebay pig sticker. This is a mortise chisel. It does not and cannot fit into the standard clamping head. Axminster were excellent in their response, as always. Just a little nudge and warning. Caveat emptor!
