1st bowl since I left school

Well as it says above my 1st bowl turned after leaving school 40 odd years ago.

IMHO that's excellent, nice form, thin edge. Don't hesitate and buy a turning blank in a nice timber and really show off.

For a first it looks good. Keep this and put to one side and in 6 months look at it against what you will be turning then it is a good thing as it will allow you to see how much improvement you have made.

Keep using some cheaper blanks for the moment until you are confident at turning bowl. And cheaper does not mean uninteresting
