I have a few hundred membership names including addresses and telephone numbers to input on my laptop (windows platform). Need to be able to sort completed list alphabetically on completion #-o

Does anybody know of any software, preferably free that is available.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. I thought from memory that when sorting in Excel it only sorted individual columns which left other related columns and cells out of sync. Obviously not, just sorted it out #-o #-o

Depends, it can if you want it to. :-D

You can sort information using one column as the source and then the other data on the row is kept with it.
You don't need excel either, Libre Office Calc will do the same thing for free.

In the mists of time, I also recall that you can mail merge into Microsoft Word as well for letters and stuff.
