Fairly heavy dye usage but necessary for the subject I think.

Love it Phill, I have some real ones in the same colour in the garden. Lily Intarsia sounds like a Music Hall act from 100 years ago....y'know the sort who sand risque songs while parading with a Parasol lol
oh well must keep taking the tablets lol

ps there is nothing wrong with using dyes the colours make the intarsias stand out how did you make the stamens? wire? they look really good.

I think the colours look great. I often use acrylic paint on some of mine as it’s hard to get the coloured wood. I think it’s better to add colour than not to for the effect you want. If I know I’m going to paint the wood then I just use pine for that section as I don’t like to paint my limited supply of hardwood.
