i made a wooden katana sword for a friend who is into that sort of thing.

Its 40 inches overall with a 10 inch handle. Made from bubinga, walnut, teak, and a superb bit of rippled ash courtesy of custard.

i like it. if he doesnt want it I shall keep it as a wall hanger

Very nice. Good job would look well on a couple of little stands on a shelf or sideboard something like that.
 
the guy didnt want to pay the worth of the wood (he is scottish after all is said and done), so I'm happy to keep it. That means i can make a stand, and maybe a couple shorter ones to complete the set.
Oh no! does that mean I'm a collector?
