Hi all, after a bit of advice, I recently bought a 2nd hand jet jbos5 bobbin sander the machine is great but i’m Having a issue replacing the abrasive loading on the 50mm bobbin, I bought the new loadings from Axminster snd are the correct size to fit this machine but I can’t get the new loading beyond half way down the rubber Bobbin before it becomes stuck solid and can’t be pushed any further on. I have tried putting the bobbin in the freezer but this hasn’t worked any advice welcome
Thanks

Assuming you have slackened off the nut that compresses the rubber, then it’s highly likely you have an imperial machine that takes 2” loadings rather than 50mm. I have an older imperial machine!! I sanded down the rubber on my lathe.

Yeah fully slacked the nut off, even took the rubber of the shaft all together but still no joy i’l try and sand the rubber down a tad
