Hi all, thought you might like to see a Lighthouse project I’ve just completed from a Kathy Wise pattern. It has eight different woods and no stain or dyes.

very nice. Good use of the grain in the sky section to mimic rolling clouds
 
Lovely piece George.

I agree about the clouds and love the choice of woods in general.

Do you know what the woods are (I only ask that way as half the time I haven't got a clue what I'm using!).

Ha ha, sounds like you have the same depth of wood knowledge as me! I just sort through what I have and use what I think will look okay, most of the time I don't know what is what (an area I should probably swot up on).
