Never had to do it before - how do you go about it? - do you contact a florist local to the crem (+/- via Intaflora) and get them to deliver, or do you buy them from your local florist and take them with you?
 
It's entirely up to you, both will work fine. If you know them well then it may be more appropriate to take them yourself but if you get the florists to arrange things then the flowers will be there with others before you arrive.
 
It's also worth checking with the undertaker if the family want flowers other than their own. All the funerals I've been to at a crematorium for the last few years have all been 'family flowers only'.
