As I was put some danish oil on my latest puzzel I thought to myself I wonder what finishes the nice people of the forum like. So what are your favourite finishes on wood and MDF and why? I favour danish oil and wax as a finish on real wood as I like the low sheen it gives without hiding the grain of the timber and as a large majority of my MDF cuttings are puzzles for children I tend to use acrylic colours on all of my MDF cuttings.
