I have one of these saws and very good it is but I found moving the fence to 45 degrees and checking it each time a pain so I made a triangle that I just pop over the fence so I can leave the fence at 90 degrees works really well.
Then I found holding short pieces to cut dangerous as the clamp wants to skew around the part so I made a rod that locks the back of the clamp and solves the problem, hopefully these ideas may help others here.
