Has anyone tried embedding rose petals in resin. I would like to do this but think the petals would need to be dried first and then they would lose their fresh look.

Hi alex

this stuff is pretty good and very easy to use. It is cold cast but does have a bit of heat as it cures. but as you are fully enclosing the petals there will be no oxygen to allow a reaction in the petals and they should stay as is.

you do need the hardener as well

I have used kilos of this stuff it is great, easy to mix by weight (postage type scales are best) just reduce the hardener a little in warm weather as if a deep casting it can cause heat cracks. Easy to color to.
