Hello
Can anyone advise me on the basics of a Boley lathe please?
The model is LZ4P How is the chuck rotation changed to turn in the opposite direction, say for screwcutting? Currently the chuck rotates anti- clockwise and the leadscrew moves towards the tailstock.
Also, when the motor is switched on, the chuck immediately turns. Should there be some kind of clutch arrangement, or is this only governed by moving the lever and disconnecting the drivebelt each time? Never seen this kind of arrangement before.
Thanks for any help
Ian
