Hi - Was hoping someone could share some thoughts on how best to achieve a high quality wood finish similar to the picture for a headboard surround (would be just a square headboard in this case).
I'm thinking to start with an oak/oak veneer and then a walnut stain followed by a satin lacquer. Are there any recommended stains that could be used? Or perhaps best to start with a walnut wood in the first place?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks, John
