    Pear timber up for grabs (tree to be felled)

    would a large pear tree be of any inerest to anyone? it is quite old and dilapidated, so will be felled soon, but there is alot of wood there, no rot or whatever. Any interest, drop me a pm, my other option is to log it and stack it for my wood burner!

    Just a little chuffed!

    Start of my A.I chisel set, a 1" butt and 1" bevel edge chisel. An A.I marking knife, Richard Kell No 3 mkII honing guide and a lovely workshop heaven 12 pocket chisel roll. Also a shop fox wheel marking gauge. Hooked on the A.I's, can't beleive how much better they are than the current jam...

    bandsaw blade length?

    just a quickie - want to order some new blades for my bandsaw refurb - but how do i measure accurately the correct blade length. Probably really dumb question! I considered cutting through an old blade and measuring the straight out length - is this correct? cheers.

    Planer blade setting query

    Just had my blades sharpened, and was wondering on the best way to set them parallel to the block. I can just remember that someone posted on here some wood with rare earth magnets attached to hold the knives, but cant remember when. Help greatly appreciated!
